Today was the day I got to be course senior. I was super pumped to get out of the hotel and back on to the water. First we had to do a few things out by the water where we reviewed safety but then we got to go out and try some new stuff. I was a little rusty but the strokes came back to me quickly. Muscle memory is what it is. I like our gear and I think my stay on the river is going to be warm and dry. Tonight we got to meet some local brass as well as our PAO. I really like the idea that our awesome experiences are going to be used to bring other kids in. I think the podcast idea is neat. I’m also definitely going to tell my parents about SPOT which is going to show our location (hopefully) all the way through the trip. Not much more to say about today other than both the Chinese food and the people (local and cadet) are great here. Can’t wait to get on the water!
